The Demi Pair programme combines English lessons in the mornings with full immersion in family life, working as a part-time au pair in the afternoons.
It is an affordable, enriching and different option for young people who want to experience the language and culture first-hand.
Living as a Demi Pair is an excellent opportunity to improve your English, gain independence, mature and discover another culture from within.
What does the programme consist of?
- English classes in the mornings at an accredited school.
- Host family accommodation with full board.
- Collaboration in childcare and light housework (15-20 hours per week).
- Free time to enjoy the destination, rest or make excursions.

- English course (10 or 20 hours per week).
- Host family accommodation with full board.
- Local public transport.
- Personalised selection of the host family.
- Assistance and follow-up during the entire stay.
Requirements for the Demi Pair programme
Age between
18 and 22 years
Intermediate level of English (minimum B1)
Minimum stay of 12 weeks
Commitment and accountability in child care
Driving licence not required, but would be an asset.
